Therapy for Women in Baldwin Hills
I’m Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson, a licensed psychologist and founder of Deeply Seen Psychological Services. I support high-achieving women with faith-affirming, evidence-based therapy that helps you rest, heal, and reconnect with yourself.
How it works
Book an intro call
Our first conversation is about naming what feels heavy and understanding what you hope will be different. Together, we look at how culture, faith, and expectations have shaped your patterns, and begin to open the door toward new possibilities for balance and relief.
Personalized, one-on-one sessions
Each session is centered on your story. Here, you can practice naming your needs, setting boundaries that feel sustainable, and telling yourself the truth without guilt or shame.
Evidence-based therapeutic techniques
I combine clinical approaches with body-based awareness and emotional regulation skills. These methods help address the root of over-functioning, perfectionism, and burnout, giving you tools to create steadiness and peace in daily life.

FAQ about my counseling services
How does virtual therapy work?
Sessions are hosted on a secure, private platform. You only need an internet connection and a quiet space.
Do you accept insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill, a detailed receipt you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please note that to use insurance, a formal mental health diagnosis is required and it becomes part of your medical record. Insurance also relies on medical necessity, meaning once you no longer meet the criteria for that diagnosis, coverage may end and our work could be cut short. If you’re looking for flexible, personalized, and non-diagnostic care that puts you at the center and not a billing system, paying privately may be the best fit
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.
Is virtual therapy effective?
Yes. Virtual therapy offers the same benefits as in-person sessions while giving you the flexibility to stay consistent from the comfort of your home.
How do I know if this is the right fit?
The right therapist should make you feel seen and supported. If you want a space that honors your faith while helping you move beyond exhaustion and perfectionism, this approach may be what you’re looking for.
