Therapy in Chesterfield Square | Counselor Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson
I offer Christian therapy and coaching for Black women and women of color in Chesterfield Square who are used to handling life without much room to pause. This work supports women who carry responsibility at work, at home, and in their families while quietly managing stress, anxiety, emotional fatigue, and spiritual questions about rest and worth. My role is to provide grounded, faith-honoring support that meets you where you actually are.
Chesterfield Square is a neighborhood shaped by resilience, family ties, and day-to-day perseverance. Many women here are balancing long work hours, caregiving roles, financial pressure, and deep loyalty to their families and communities. Life often requires pushing forward, even when emotional exhaustion begins to build beneath the surface.
Women in Chesterfield Square choose this work because they want support that understands their reality. They are not looking to be fixed or rushed. They want space to feel steadier, clearer, and less alone while staying rooted in their faith and values.

01
Clarify what’s no longer working
We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, the weight you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will feel different. We start by exploring the patterns, roles, and beliefs that have been keeping you stuck in over-functioning, burnout, and emotional disconnection, especially those shaped by faith, culture, and performance.
02
Reclaim your voice and emotional truth
Together, we’ll begin to untangle the internalized narratives that say you have to be strong, silent, or selfless to be worthy. This is where you’ll practice honoring your needs, setting sacred boundaries, and telling yourself the truth, without shame.
03
Redefine your life from the inside out
As healing unfolds, we’ll build a more honest, faith-affirming relationship with yourself and your emotional world. You’ll walk away with tools to support your growth, rhythms that restore you, and a renewed sense of spiritual and emotional alignment.

Christian Counseling for Women
LEARN MOREChristian therapy supports women who want emotional care that aligns with their faith rather than competing with it. Many women come in feeling conflicted, believing they should be able to handle everything through prayer alone or worrying that asking for help means they are falling short spiritually. Over time, this work becomes a space where belief, doubt, exhaustion, and honesty can coexist without shame.
Sessions often explore burnout, anxiety, emotional suppression, perfectionism, and the pressure to always be strong. We look at how these patterns developed and how they may now be costing you rest, connection, and peace. Sessions are offered virtually, making support accessible for women in Chesterfield Square who need flexibility and privacy while navigating full lives.
Executive Coaching for High-Achieving Women
LEARN MOREExecutive coaching is designed for women who carry leadership in visible and invisible ways. This may include managing teams, running households, leading in ministry, or being the emotional anchor for others. Many women seek coaching when they feel stretched thin, overwhelmed by decisions, or unsure how to keep leading without burning out.
This work focuses on clarity, boundaries, and sustainable leadership rather than constant performance. Sessions provide space to reflect, recalibrate, and move forward with intention. Coaching is offered virtually, making it easier for women in Chesterfield Square to receive support without adding logistical stress.
Anxiety Therapy for High-Achieving Women
LEARN MOREAnxiety therapy supports women who feel internally tense even when life appears steady on the outside. Anxiety may show up as racing thoughts, irritability, physical tightness, or difficulty resting. For many women, these patterns developed as a way to stay prepared and responsible in demanding environments.
Our work focuses on helping you understand how anxiety lives in your body and daily routines, not just your thoughts. Over time, many clients feel more grounded, less reactive, and better able to rest without guilt. This support is available virtually for women in Chesterfield Square seeking steadier emotional footing near you.
Depression Therapy for High-Achieving Women
LEARN MOREDepression therapy offers support for women who feel emotionally disconnected, numb, or quietly discouraged while still showing up for daily responsibilities. Depression does not always look like sadness. It can look like exhaustion, loss of motivation, or feeling distant from yourself and others.
Sessions create space to process grief, disappointment, and unmet needs without pressure to move faster than you are ready for. Many women experience renewed emotional connection, increased self-compassion, and a stronger sense of internal steadiness through this work.
Therapy for Perfectionism
LEARN MORETherapy for perfectionism supports women whose standards for themselves feel relentless. Often shaped by survival, responsibility, and visibility, perfectionism can drive success while quietly draining joy and rest.
This work focuses on loosening the link between worth and performance. Together, we explore how to build flexibility, boundaries, and self-trust without fear of letting others down. Many women in Chesterfield Square find relief in learning how to rest without guilt and show up more fully for their lives.
Life Coaching for Women
LEARN MORELife coaching supports women who feel capable but unclear about what they want or need next. This work is especially helpful during transitions, seasons of reevaluation, or moments when life looks fine externally but feels misaligned internally.
Coaching focuses on values, direction, and intentional decision-making without urgency or pressure. Sessions are forward-looking and supportive, helping women in Chesterfield Square move with clarity rather than force.
Therapy for Executives
LEARN MORETherapy for executives provides a confidential space for women in leadership roles to process stress, emotional isolation, and identity concerns. This work respects the reality of being responsible for others while rarely being supported yourself.
Sessions offer a place to speak freely, without managing perception or holding everything together. Many women find this support essential for maintaining emotional health while continuing to lead effectively.
Therapy for Black Women
LEARN MORETherapy for Black women centers lived experience, cultural context, and emotional truth. This work acknowledges strength fatigue, emotional labor, and the lack of spaces where vulnerability feels fully welcome.
The focus is on rest, honesty, and reconnecting with yourself beyond survival mode. This support is offered virtually for Black women in Chesterfield Square who want care that understands their lived reality.
I serve women in Chesterfield Square
I serve women in Chesterfield Square and nearby South Los Angeles neighborhoods who are balancing family responsibility, work demands, and community commitments with little room for rest. This area is shaped by strong family networks, everyday resilience, and deep local roots, including nearby neighborhoods such as Vermont Square, Manchester Square, and Inglewood, close to corridors like Western Avenue and local parks. For several years, I have supported Black women and women of color here through faith-integrated care that respects emotional reality, cultural values, and spiritual life. By offering virtual sessions, I make support more accessible while remaining deeply committed to the local community.

FAQ about my counseling services
How does virtual therapy work?
You’ll get a secure video link before each session. At the scheduled time, you log in, and we meet face to face online. Clients often say this setup makes it easier to show up and stay consistent.
Do you accept insurance?
I don’t send claims directly. Some clients use the receipts I provide to ask their insurance for reimbursement, though coverage depends on each plan. Private pay also means we control the pace and direction of therapy without restrictions.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
If you let me know at least 24 hours in advance, we’ll adjust your appointment without a fee. This policy keeps care steady and scheduling fair.
Is virtual therapy effective?
Yes. Research shows it works as well as in-person sessions, and many clients say they feel more open when meeting from their own space.
How do I know if this is the right fit?
If you feel supported, safe, and understood in session, that’s usually the sign it’s working. My goal is to create that space consistently so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
