Therapy in Inglewood  | Counselor  Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson

I offer Christian therapy and coaching for Black women and women of color in Inglewood who are balancing full lives with very little space to slow down. This work supports women who are managing careers, caregiving, relationships, and faith commitments while quietly carrying stress, anxiety, emotional fatigue, and questions about how long they can keep going this way. My approach honors your faith while making room for your real emotional experience.

Inglewood is a city shaped by growth, visibility, and constant movement. Many women here are navigating demanding work schedules, family responsibility, rising costs, and long-standing community ties all at once. With so much happening around you, it can be difficult to find space to pause, reflect, or tend to what you are holding internally without feeling behind or overwhelmed.

Women in Inglewood come to this work when pushing through no longer feels sustainable. They are not looking to be fixed or rushed. They want steady, grounded support that understands the pace of their lives and respects both their strength and their need for care.

Ready to get started?

01

Clarify what’s no longer working

We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, the weight you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will feel different. We start by exploring the patterns, roles, and beliefs that have been keeping you stuck in over-functioning, burnout, and emotional disconnection, especially those shaped by faith, culture, and performance.

02

Reclaim your voice and emotional truth

Together, we’ll begin to untangle the internalized narratives that say you have to be strong, silent, or selfless to be worthy. This is where you’ll practice honoring your needs, setting sacred boundaries, and telling yourself the truth, without shame.

03

Redefine your life from the inside out

As healing unfolds, we’ll build a more honest, faith-affirming relationship with yourself and your emotional world. You’ll walk away with tools to support your growth, rhythms that restore you, and a renewed sense of spiritual and emotional alignment.

  • Christian Counseling for Women

Christian therapy supports women who want emotional care that aligns with their faith instead of competing with it. Many women come in feeling conflicted, believing they should be able to manage everything through prayer alone or worrying that asking for help means they are falling short spiritually. Over time, this work becomes a space where belief, doubt, exhaustion, and honesty can exist together without shame.

Sessions often explore burnout, anxiety, emotional suppression, perfectionism, and the pressure to always be strong. We take time to understand how these patterns developed and how they may now be costing you rest, connection, and peace. Sessions are offered virtually, making support accessible for women in Inglewood who need flexibility and privacy while navigating full lives.

  • Executive Coaching for High-Achieving Women

Executive coaching is designed for women who carry leadership in visible and invisible ways. This may include managing teams, leading projects, running households, or being the emotional anchor for others. Many women seek coaching when constant decision-making and responsibility begin to feel draining or unsustainable.

This work focuses on clarity, boundaries, and sustainable leadership rather than performance alone. Sessions offer space to reflect, recalibrate, and move forward with intention. Coaching is offered virtually, reducing logistical stress while supporting women in Inglewood with demanding schedules.

  • Anxiety Therapy for High-Achieving Women

Anxiety therapy supports women who feel internally tense even when life appears stable on the outside. Anxiety may show up as racing thoughts, irritability, physical tightness, difficulty sleeping, or feeling responsible for everything. For many women, these patterns developed as a way to stay prepared and in control in fast-paced environments.

Our work focuses on understanding how anxiety lives in your body, routines, and relationships, not just your thoughts. Over time, many women feel more grounded, less reactive, and better able to rest without guilt.

  • Depression Therapy for High-Achieving Women

Depression therapy offers support for women who feel emotionally dulled, disconnected, or quietly discouraged while continuing to function. Rather than obvious sadness, depression may look like numbness, fatigue, or a loss of interest in things that once mattered.

This space allows you to process grief, disappointment, and emotional loss without being rushed toward positivity. Many women experience renewed emotional connection and a stronger sense of internal presence through this work.

  • Therapy for Perfectionism

Therapy for perfectionism supports women who feel pressure to get everything right, especially when others are watching. In fast-moving environments, perfectionism can become a way to stay safe, respected, or relevant, while quietly increasing stress and self-criticism.

This work focuses on separating worth from performance and creating space for rest without fear. Over time, women often experience greater emotional freedom and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

  • Life Coaching for Women

Life coaching supports women who are successful on the outside but uncertain about what they want next. This work is helpful during seasons of transition, growth, or quiet dissatisfaction, especially when external momentum no longer matches internal clarity.

Coaching focuses on values, direction, and intentional choice-making without urgency. Sessions are forward-focused and designed to support clarity rather than pressure.

  • Therapy for Executives

Therapy for executives provides confidential emotional support for women who carry influence and responsibility without many places to be honest. This space allows you to process stress, identity, and emotional weight without managing image or expectations.

The focus is sustainability, not pushing harder. Many women find this work essential for maintaining emotional health while continuing to lead.

  • Therapy for Black Women

Therapy for Black women centers lived experience, cultural context, and emotional truth. This work recognizes the exhaustion that comes from being strong, visible, and dependable in spaces that do not always offer safety or rest.

This space is about exhaling, telling the truth, and reconnecting with yourself beyond survival and performance.

FAQ about my counseling services

  • How does virtual therapy work?

You do not need special equipment. At the time of your appointment, you click the private link I provide and join from your phone, tablet, or computer. Many women appreciate being able to talk from their own home, which often makes therapy feel more comfortable.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I do not bill insurance on your behalf. Some women decide to submit their receipts for possible reimbursement, though not every plan covers it. Private pay also gives us freedom to decide the pace and focus of your sessions without outside rules.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

If you reach out at least 24 hours ahead, we will reschedule without charge. With less notice, there may be a fee, though I always try to find solutions that keep your care steady.

  • Is virtual therapy effective?

Yes. Studies show that online therapy is as effective as in-person work. Many clients tell me they even prefer it because it removes commute stress and allows them to open up more easily from familiar surroundings.

  • How do I know if this is the right fit?

The right fit shows up in how you feel. If you leave sessions with more clarity, less pressure, and a sense of being truly seen, therapy is serving you well. That is always my goal in this work.
