Therapy for Women in Leimert Park

I’m Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson, a licensed psychologist and founder of Deeply Seen Psychological Services. I specialize in supporting high-achieving women who want therapy that honors both their faith and their humanity. My mission is to help you release the weight of over-functioning and rediscover the peace of living as your full self.

How it works

Book an intro call

Our first meeting is a relaxed conversation where you can share your story in your own words. We’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and begin to imagine what life could look like if that weight were lighter.

Personalized, one-on-one sessions

Every session is crafted to match your unique rhythm. Instead of pushing through or minimizing your needs, you’ll have space to speak openly, practice boundaries, and rediscover the power of listening to yourself.

Evidence-based therapeutic techniques

I integrate evidence-based therapy with practical tools that bring calm to your body and clarity to your mind. These approaches help loosen the grip of perfectionism, reduce burnout, and give you strategies you can use every day.

FAQ about my counseling services

  • How does virtual therapy work?

Sessions are held over a secure video platform that’s easy to use. Many clients find virtual therapy more comfortable because they can join from familiar surroundings, which often makes it easier to open up.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I do not work directly with insurance companies. However, I can provide you with a detailed receipt if you want to explore possible reimbursement with your plan. Choosing to pay privately allows us to set our own pace and focus entirely on your growth without outside restrictions.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

I understand that plans can change. If you let me know at least 24 hours before your session, we can reschedule without a fee. This policy helps me keep availability open for other clients as well.

  • Is virtual therapy effective?

Yes. Studies show virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions. Many women appreciate that it saves time and energy, while still giving them the same quality of connection and support.

  • How do I know if this is the right fit?

You’ll know it’s a good fit if you feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be honest in our sessions. The right therapist is someone who listens deeply, understands your challenges, and helps you move forward in a way that feels aligned with your values and faith.
