Therapy in West Rancho Domínguez  | Counselor  Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson

I offer Christian therapy and coaching for Black women and women of color in West Rancho Domínguez who are carrying a lot with very little margin to rest. This work supports women who are balancing work, family responsibility, and community life while quietly managing stress, anxiety, emotional fatigue, and spiritual questions about strength and worth. My approach honors your faith while creating space for your full emotional experience.

West Rancho Domínguez is a community shaped by hard work, perseverance, and strong family ties. Many women here are navigating long work hours, caregiving roles, financial pressure, and generational responsibility. There is often an expectation to keep going and handle what needs to be done, even when emotional exhaustion starts to show up in the body, relationships, or sense of self.

Women in West Rancho Domínguez come to this work when pushing through is no longer enough. They are not looking for quick fixes or surface-level encouragement. They want steady, grounded support that understands their reality and respects their values.

Ready to get started?

01

Clarify what’s no longer working

We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, the weight you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping will feel different. We start by exploring the patterns, roles, and beliefs that have been keeping you stuck in over-functioning, burnout, and emotional disconnection, especially those shaped by faith, culture, and performance.

02

Reclaim your voice and emotional truth

Together, we’ll begin to untangle the internalized narratives that say you have to be strong, silent, or selfless to be worthy. This is where you’ll practice honoring your needs, setting sacred boundaries, and telling yourself the truth, without shame.

03

Redefine your life from the inside out

As healing unfolds, we’ll build a more honest, faith-affirming relationship with yourself and your emotional world. You’ll walk away with tools to support your growth, rhythms that restore you, and a renewed sense of spiritual and emotional alignment.

  • Christian Counseling for Women

Christian therapy supports women who want emotional care that aligns with their faith instead of competing with it. Many women arrive feeling conflicted, believing they should be able to manage everything through prayer alone or worrying that asking for help means they are not trusting God enough. Over time, this space becomes one where belief, doubt, exhaustion, and honesty can coexist without shame.

Sessions often explore burnout, anxiety, emotional suppression, perfectionism, and the pressure to always be strong. We take time to understand how these patterns developed and how they may now be costing you rest, connection, and peace. Sessions are offered virtually, making support accessible for women in West Rancho Domínguez who need flexibility and privacy while managing full lives.

  • Executive Coaching for High-Achieving Women

Executive coaching is designed for women who carry leadership in both visible and invisible ways. This may include supervising teams, managing households, leading in ministry, or being the emotional anchor for others. Many women seek coaching when decision fatigue, pressure, or constant responsibility begins to feel unsustainable.

This work focuses on clarity, boundaries, and sustainable leadership rather than performance or productivity alone. Coaching sessions offer space to reflect, recalibrate, and move forward with intention. Support is offered virtually, reducing logistical barriers while meeting women in West Rancho Domínguez where they are.

  • Anxiety Therapy for High-Achieving Women

Anxiety therapy supports women who feel internally tense even when life appears stable from the outside. Anxiety may show up as racing thoughts, irritability, physical tightness, difficulty sleeping, or feeling responsible for everything. For many women, these patterns developed as a way to stay prepared and in control in demanding environments.

Our work focuses on understanding how anxiety lives in your body, routines, and relationships, not just your thoughts. Over time, many women feel more grounded, less reactive, and better able to rest without guilt.

  • Depression Therapy for High-Achieving Women

Depression therapy offers support for women who feel emotionally disconnected, numb, or quietly discouraged while still showing up for daily responsibilities. Depression does not always look like sadness. It can look like exhaustion, loss of motivation, or feeling distant from yourself and others.

Sessions create space to process grief, disappointment, and unmet needs at a pace that feels safe.

Many women experience renewed emotional connection, increased self-compassion, and a stronger sense of internal steadiness through this work.

  • Therapy for Perfectionism

Therapy for perfectionism supports women whose standards for themselves feel relentless. Often shaped by survival, responsibility, and visibility, perfectionism can drive achievement while quietly draining joy and rest.

This work focuses on loosening the link between worth and performance. Together, we explore how to build flexibility, boundaries, and self-trust without fear of letting others down. Many women find relief in learning how to rest without guilt.

  • Therapy for Executives

Therapy for executives provides a confidential space for women in leadership roles to process stress, emotional isolation, and identity concerns. This work respects the reality of being responsible for others while rarely being supported yourself.

Sessions offer a place to speak freely, without managing perception or holding everything together. Many women find this support essential for maintaining emotional health while continuing to lead effectively.

  • Therapy for Black Women

Therapy for Black women centers lived experience, cultural context, and emotional truth. This work acknowledges strength fatigue, emotional labor, and the lack of spaces where vulnerability feels fully welcome.

Hello, I’m Dr. Jacquelyn Johnson | Therapy for Women in West Rancho Domínguez

FAQ about my counseling services

  • How does virtual therapy work?

You’ll receive a private link for each session. At the scheduled time, you log in, and we meet online. This makes therapy consistent and easier to fit into your life.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I don’t process insurance directly. Some women use the receipts I provide to request reimbursement, but many prefer private pay because it gives us full freedom to decide the direction and pace of therapy.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

If something comes up, let me know at least 24 hours ahead and we’ll reschedule. This helps keep your care steady and fair for everyone.

  • Is virtual therapy effective?

Yes. Research shows online sessions work as well as in-person therapy. Many women even find they can be more open when talking from their own space.

  • How do I know if this is the right fit?

Pay attention to how you feel. If sessions leave you clearer, supported, and less weighed down, then the fit is right. My goal is to provide that experience consistently.
